2008 Jackpot Rules

1)  Contestants have to compete in 4 out of the 5 scheduled Jackpots to be eligible for 
      year end awards. Contestants will not be eligible for awards in events if they have 
      not competed in that event for 4 Jackpots.
2)  If a contestant is competing on more than one horse, each horse has to compete in 
      that event for at least 4 Jackpots. Refer to rule #1. (excludes roping events)
3)  Each contestant will pay a $5.00 pen fee per jackpot.This includes anyone that is doing

     just exhibitions.  
4)  No horse will be allowed to compete in an event more than once, unless the 
      contestants competing on that horse is immediated family members living in the
      same household. (excludes roping events)
5)  Champions in each event will be determined by the amount of money won in that 
      particular event throughout the series. Open 4-D Champions will be determined by 
      money won in each division throughout the series.
6)  All youth events are 16 & under. Age is determined by the date of our first show.
7)  Ground money will be paid. When paying out places, if all the payout holes are not filled that
      are supposed to be paid out, the money will be split accordly between the places that are filled.
8)  No one will be allowed to enter an event after the books have been closed (barrels 
      and poles), or after the first contestant in that event is called to compete. If the 
      secretary has collected your money for that particular event, you are considered 
      entered even though your name was not called in the draw. NO EXCEPTIONS!
9) Open barrels & poles will be ran with a center alley (through the heeling box), 
       unless weather conditions do not permit. You are allowed to run in, but you will be
       running back to a closed gate. This is for the contestant's safety.
10) Open barrels will be ran with a 4-D format.
11) Ground conditions will determine when it is necessary for a drag between
        contestants. This will be determined before the first horse runs.
12)  All livestock will be chute ran.
13)  In Girl's Break-Away, a slick bell collar catch around the neck is the only qualified
         catch.
14)   In Youth Break-Away, a qualified catch consists of the rope going around the calves
         head and tighting anywhere. 
15)   Calf Roping, Girls Breakaway, and Youth Breakaway will be a 1 Go.
16)  Team Roping will be a 3 head progressive.
